SKIN WHITENING FOR BLACK SKIN – Skin Whitening Forever

I had given up on the quest for lighter skin a very long time ago.  I had wasted a lot of time, effort, money, emotions, and even managed to accumulate a couple of minor, (thank God!), scars!  This was before Skin Whitening Forever….

In this post I am going to share with you my own personal experience with the product that helped me discover skin whitening for black skin to be a reality that need not come attached with high risks or steep prices.

Skin Whitening Forever is a completely different approach to skin whitening. Instead of throwing a packaged tube or tub of something or another at you, its a system of shortlisted proven methods that are tried and tested, designed to be linked with your individual circumstances to create your very own skincare program. Completely personalized!

The system takes you step by step through the treatment options: chemical; natural; homemade; dietary; or cosmetic, and through your unique circumstances: environmental; genetic; social; and geographical, to help you pin-point exactly which techniques to apply to get the best results.  AMAZING!

The system downloads onto you PC and so it was delivered instantly onto mine which meant I was learning it minutes after I had ordered it.  I could not believe I was applying it to my skincare routine by THE VERY NEXT MORNING!

It was immediately working wonders on my self esteem.  I was thinking completely differently about myself, and as a result I was behaving differently. From making the tiniest little changes to avoiding the most commonly made mistakes, and they all started building up – and it was showing!

The very first thing I noticed, even before the change in skin tone, was that my skin started glowing.  The change in skin tone was not too far behind but the glow was hard to miss!

A few days later I noticed random freckles fading away from my face.  I didn’t even realise I had so many!  This evened out my skin tone considerably, but then I noticed that the colour itself had gone a couple of shades lighter; my usual foundation make-up was now giving me an obvious tanned look when I applied it in the morning!  All of this and in the space of just over a month!  It wasn’t me, it was others that were commenting!

I suppose the best way to demonstrate would be to put up “before” and “after” pictures, so in the spirit of honesty I shall say this:  I’m just too vain to put up the “before” pictures that would show the difference.  Sorry!  But I just don’t want to look back!  However, the picture of me on this site is an “after” pic if that means anything (!)

This system can, (and should), be used by ANYONE, from the fair skinned to the dark skinned.  It’s all about conditioning and looking after your skin – long term – changing the way you live in your body. And because it specifically examines skin whitening for black skin, the system includes the most common skin whitening methods also. How much you incorporate into your own personal routine is down to you individually.  You are in complete control.  All instructions are given step by step.

Skin Whitening Forever divulged wonderful drug free secrets to skin whitening for ALL skin types; even skin tone; glowing skin, and beautifully moisturised skin.  It even let me into the secret of Cleopatra’s coveted milk bath!  And YES! It IS worth every bit of the hype legend has given it!

This has hand on heart changed the way I research and use beauty products and most definitely how much money I now (not) spend on them!

SKIN WHITENING FOREVER – C-Review

Welcome to the first ever C-review which is on the subject of Skin Whitening for Black Skin.

Within the Health & Beauty Industry skin whitening happens to be a very rapidly growing niche and though I’m not here to talk marketing with you, I mention it because this means there are a LOT of people cashing in on skin whitening products and services, especially for black skin.  Some of these, of course, are legitimate businesses offering good products and services.  Others – not so much!

For example: most of the commonly used active ingredients in over-the-counter cosmetics are either banned, or sold in restricted concentrations, (see post titled “Skin Whitening for Black Skin – The Dangers” below).  This helps create an illegal market for cheap counterfeit products containing toxic levels of chemicals that may show quick results in the beginning, but irreversible damage, (and big business for dermatologists), thereafter.

Skin Whitening Forever
I believe this product to be a leading product in the field of skin whitening for black skin, (and all other skin tones, including Indian skin, and tanned skins), because it does not merely promise results in a jar of unknown cream or lotion. Rather, it equips you with something more powerful – knowledge and choice.  From a mixture of personal and professional experience, alongside scientific and traditional know-how, a comprehensive system is presented narrowed down from an ocean of information on the subject of dermatology, skin lightening, skin bleaching and skin conditioning.

Understanding the foundations of my skin made all the difference when it came to fine tuning my skincare regimen.  That coveted glow is not down to skin colouring alone!  Skin Whitening Forever emphasizes the importance of recognizing your own skin type for this very reason.  It refers to the Fitzpatrick Classification Scale which was developed in 1975 by Harvard Medical School dermatologist, Thomas Fitzpatrick, MD, PhD.  The scale classifies a person’s complexion and their tolerance of sunlight.  One of its uses is to determine the probability of developing skin cancer by medical practitioners; yet another reason to understand why skin is the shade it is in the first place before we go scrubbing, bleaching, exfoliating, and peeling layers off it!  That being said, the darker the skin, the more work its needs to get that coveted glow we’re really after.  It’s just that we need to find our own personal shade instead of walking around like chalk faced Geisha’s!

It is common knowledge that Melanin is responsible for skin colour, but it is less known that there are actually two types of melanin produced; one primarily red in colour, and the other primarily dark brown.  It’s the different combinations of these two that give the human race their colour variations.  Skin Whitening Forever helps towards our understanding of how genetic, external, social and other factors contribute towards the unique blend that is our individual skin tone, and thus helping us truly determine a customised beauty regimen

The most common chemical skin whitening methods and their use in skin whitening for black skin, Indian skin, tanned skin, and other dark skins, are also explained with techniques and alternatives  as possible skin lightening or bleaching options.  Though I am not a fan of chemical agents, I respect the addition and inclusion of this in the system as it adds to the completeness of the information provided.  However, I would highly recommend reading up on each of the chemical options independently.  You may wish to refer to the post titled “Skin Whitening for Black Skin – The Dangers” below, for an introduction on where to start.

Even with my dislike for the chemical options, I could not believe the sheer range of choices this system gives, including how to combat acne, marks, blemishes and maintain constant moisture!

I will bring the review to a close by stating that I am finally comfortable with the skin I live in.  I have naturally found the optimum tone at which my skin constantly radiates at.  There is nothing ‘fake’ or manufactured about my complexion, yet it is obviously a lighter shade than it used to be.

I’m generally a lot more happier!

SKIN WHITENING FOR BLACK SKIN – The Dangers

The first thing that we need to examine when discussing or reviewing the subject of Skin Whitening for Black Skin are the dangers associated with traditional bleaching or lightening treatments used to whiten black skin, dark skin, Indian skin or any other shade of brown skin. We are all familiar with the horror stories, yet we still take the risks.

Why would we do that to ourselves?

Simple: Because we see proof of it all around us; celebrities; our friends, that cousin that simply won’t give up her secret, etc, etc,

So off we go, our faces ever willing canvases!

Its amazing how we believe that the worst will never happen to us!  We really do need to understand more about the active ingredients in the creams and lotions used for skin whitening and what they can do.

Here’s a brief look at the most popular of these:

Mercury in the use of Skin Whitening for Black Skin
Mercury was one of the first known ingredients intentionally marketed to the black generation in the United States for the specific purpose of whitening black skin. It was put into creams and soaps and was very effective at getting rid of hyperpigmentation and making dark spots appear lighter. Unfortunately, being a metal, it was also very good at accumulating in the body over time.   It’s toxic nature meant that accumulation in the body lead to a variety of ailments including memory loss, forgetfulness, emotional instability, fatigue, gingivitis, and even kidney damage.  Topical application could lead to skin irritations including severe, not to mention painful, blistering.

Its no wonder that Mercury is now a banned ingredient in skin whitening products within many countries including the (now) EU (since 1976), and USA (since 1990).

Hydroquinone in the use of Skin Whitening for Black Skin
Scientifically speaking hydroquinone prevents skin from making the substances responsible for skin colour. This does not bleach the skin as such, but lightens the skin by inhibiting melanin production.

However, it is also known to cause leukaemia in mice and other animals! As a result France had initially banned the substance followed by a complete EU ban of its use in cosmetics in 2001.

In cosmetics where the hydroquinone is found in concentrations higher than 4%, (especially in Africa, where skin whitening products for black skin are often adulterated), the actions on the skin act as an irritant and can cause damage to the collagen.  That’s a double whammy as this also speeds up aging!

Alpha Hydroxy Acids in the use of  Skin Whitening for Black Skin
Also known as AHA’s, when used as a whitening agent are only effective as an acid peel at a concentration of 50% or higher. At these concentrations only a qualified (please let me repeat that …. a QUALIFIED) practitioner should be applying the acid peels to your face.  Therefore……NO wonder cream, whatever results it promises, whether ordered over the net or brought over any diamond studded counter; no matter what iron clad guarantee it comes with or WHOSOEVER recommends it, containing concentrations around the acid peel region should be anywhere close to your person!!

That being said, the only way to find out the true dangers of any particular whitening, bleaching, or lightening treatment is to thoroughly research that treatment individually.  Nonetheless, it is still important to refer to the most popular and most commonly used methods to remind ourselves what we should be aware of and if choosing to use these, how we should use them (IF at all) responsibly.

We all know how our emotions tend to blind our better judgement sometimes!
